The first step will be to determine what type grass you have. Typically in North Texas we see bermudagrass, buffalograss, St. Augustinegrass and zoysiagrass. Each type of grass will require a slightly different application of nutrients to thrive. And while it may seem surprising, grass does not need to be dark green to be healthy. A very dark green requires an increased amount of nitrogen and that in turns requires an increased amount of watering and mowing. We balance the nutrients for optimal results.
Knowing when and how often to fertilize is also very important. Our eight visits are each unique and depending on the season or the current weather conditions we will determine how much fertilizer is needed and what type is best. To enhance the quality of your lawn we may determine that additional applications of nitrogen or some other nutrient are needed.
